Traveling Tea Party Policies
Reservations can be made by phone or email. When sending an email, please be sure to include your contact information and location. A deposit is required in order to secure a reservation. A $75 dollar deposit for parties of 8- 12, a $150 deposit for parties of 13 -20, a $200 deposit for parties 21-30, and a $300 deposit for parties of 31 and over. Reservations will be held for one week: in that time you will be required to pay the deposit and sign a party contract. Please try to book the Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties at least a month in advance. The deposit is refundable up to three weeks before the date of your tea party, minus a $25 dollar cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given after that time. The full balance will be required on the day of the party before set-up begins. The deposit is applied to your final balance.
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties home base of operations is in Cary, NC. We will provide traveling tea parties in Cary, Apex, Raleigh, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Chapel Hill and other surrounding areas within a 25 mile radius of Cary, North Carolina.
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances such as illness, The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties reserves the right to reschedule your party. If you are unable to reschedule for any reason, you will be refunded your deposit.
Please remember that your deposit is only refundable up to 3 weeks prior to your party date. If you need to cancel your party for any reason after the three weeks’ notice date your deposit will be non refundable. Rescheduling is allowed only once, if you need to cancel/reschedule a second time, the deposit for the original party will be non-refundable and a new deposit and new contract will be required.
Personal checks can be used for deposits only. Final payments can be made by cash or money order. Credit cards can be used only online via PayPal. The payment address to use on PayPal is firstname.lastname@example.org
A $30 dollar bank fee will be charged for any check that is returned with NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS.
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties caters to a minimum of eight and a maximum of 50 which includes the guest of honor or host. A gratuity of 18% will be automatically added.
At least 12 day's notice prior to your event date is required to adjust the balance of your final payment if someone in your group will be unable to attend or if you need to add to your party count. In either case (more or less people) 12 day's notice is required and a revision of the contract will need to be made and signed. Some guests may not show up to the party, even if they RSVP. Please remember that we charge according to the final guest count that you provided prior to the party.
On the Day of your Tea Party:
On the day of your event we will arrive approximately 1 ½ -2 hours prior to your party time and begin the preparation and set-up. Please allow ample space in your driveway or in front of your home for us to park, as we will have heavy items to carry into your home. Please notify me in advance if we will need to carry the supplies up a stairwell outside or inside your home. We do not provide tables or seating. It is your responsibility to ensure that there is enough seating for you and your guests. At the end of your allotted party time, we will begin to clean up. We will be discreet during this time should your party continue past the allotted time.
A charge of $50 per hour will be added for each additional hour you require beyond the standard two hours, not counting setup and cleanup time.
We understand that accidents can happen, however, the client may be held responsible for excessive damage sustained to The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties property by yourself or party guests.
There is a breakage fee of $3.00 per teacup, saucer or plate, and $10.00 per teapot.
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties provides a pre set menu. It is the responsibility of the client to check with party guests for specific food allergies. Should any of your guests have severe food allergies, we suggest that you provide an alternate menu for that guest.
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties, its owners and employees assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, allergies relating to food items, injuries to party guests, or property damage. As professional event planners, we can assure you that a safe and entertaining environment will be provide for your guest and will be respectable of your home and property.
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties has provided this account of our policies and terms of service with the assumption that you have read and agree to our policies before signing the Party Agreement.
